Hatch Odds in Steal An Egg

Steal An Egg hatch odds are mostly unpublished. This guide separates the few numbers that exist by where they come from — official, third-party, or estimated from badge stats — explains why badge stats are not hatch odds, and gives you a calculator to work out your own chances once you have a figure you trust.

Does Steal An Egg publish hatch odds?

Not for rarities in general. Every number you see falls into one of three layers, and they should never be mixed into one table:

1. Official. As of the date at the bottom of this page, the game's Roblox page and the wiki publish no per-rarity hatch odds.
2. Third-party fixed odds for specific eggs. Example: the Shattered Colossus is listed at 0.5% from the Shattered Rift Egg — from a third-party page, not confirmed in game (checked 2026-09-28).
3. Community estimates from Roblox badges. Figures like Secret 0.051%, Eternal 0.046% and Divine 0.008% are badge win rates. They are not official, and as explained below, they are not per-hatch chances either.

How are rarity odds estimated?

The game has badges such as Hatched Secret, Hatched Eternal and Hatched Divine, and Roblox shows each badge's win rate. The community method reads that win rate as the chance of hatching the rarity. It does not hold up: a badge counts players who earned it at least once, not hatches, so there is no count of attempts to divide by. The Welcome badge — which every player receives on joining — shows a win rate of just 0.083%, so a win rate cannot be a per-hatch chance. The current win rates (checked via the Roblox badges API on 2026-09-28) are Secret 0.038%, Eternal 0.029% and Divine 0.006% — do not use them as probabilities.

How many hatches do I need for a 50% or 90% chance?

If each hatch has chance p, the chance of at least one success in n hatches is P(≥1) = 1 − (1 − p)ⁿ. Solving for n gives n = ln(1 − target) ÷ ln(1 − p), rounded up. Enter a chance you trust below — this page does not fill one in, because no rarity chance is confirmed.

Do odds change per egg?

Yes — each egg hatches from its own pool, and limited eggs have their own odds. The Shattered Rift Egg example above is one; Rift eggs come from the Rift event rather than normal nests. See every egg and group in the egg list.

Do size or mutations change the odds?

According to the wiki, size and color mutation are rolled separately at hatch, and they change a pet's income rather than which pet you get. What are the rarest rarities?

Among regular rarities the ladder runs up to Secret, then Eternal, then Divine at the top. Brainrot, Monster and Event pets come from limited eggs outside that ladder.
